Ramah Israel: Cost, Coverage & How to Fund It

2 monthsIsraelAges 18–30

Ramah Israel is a MASA-affiliated Israel immersion program run by the Ramah Israel Institute — the Israel arm of Camp Ramah, the camping movement of Conservative Judaism and one of the most significant Jewish youth organizations in North America. Designed for Jewish young adults ages 18–30 who share the Ramah community's values of Conservative observance, Zionism, and Hebrew, the program brings participants to Israel for intensive exploration, study, and community building grounded in the Conservative Jewish encounter with the Jewish state. Participants explore Israel through a Conservative Jewish lens — engaging intellectually with Israeli society, visiting historical and sacred sites, meeting influential leaders, and building the kind of deep Israel connection that Ramah has cultivated for generations of American Jewish life.

Program Highlights

  • Ramah Israel Institute — the Israel arm of Camp Ramah, the camping movement of Conservative Judaism
  • Conservative Jewish observance throughout — Shabbat, kashrut, tefillah, and tallit/tefillin central to program culture
  • Intellectual engagement with Israeli society — discussion-based seminars, leader meetings, and in-depth exploration
  • Nationwide Israel travel — from Eilat to the Galilee, the full geographic range of the Jewish state

What Parents Say About Ramah Israel

Two months with Ramah Israel felt like the extension of every summer at camp — the same commitment to Conservative Jewish practice, the same depth of Israel education, but now as a young adult with the full country to explore. The program brought me to places I'd never seen and people I'll know for decades. Israel Prepaid Bronze Plan made it financially effortless.

Bronze Plan

Ramah shaped my Jewish identity from age 10. Ramah Israel extended that into adult life in a completely new context. We went from Eilat to the Lebanese border, met political leaders and Holocaust survivors, davened at the Kotel and in Bedouin tents. It was exactly what Conservative Judaism means when it says Israel matters. Bronze Plan covered it all.
