Venture Description

Israel Prepaid's mission to strengthen the connection between the American Jewish community and Israel. We provide Jewish families an easy and convenient way to save money for their child's future experiences in Israel. We offer a variety of programs, including the March of the Living, Masa, Gap year, Yeshiva, and Study abroad at prestigious Israeli Institutions.

Israel is an incredible place and the historical and spiritual homeland for all Jewish people. For thousands of years, Jews across the world have been longing to return to Israel.

For those lucky enough to participate in an educational experience in Israel, you have learnt about the rich history, resilience and diversity of the Jewish people as well as tasted some of their delicious food. Thanks to these amazing programs new generations can walk in the footsteps of their forefathers.

Every young Jew deserves the opportunity to experience Israel and learn about their history and heritage. Unfortunately, popular experiences are becoming increasingly more expensive and less families are able to afford them.

We believe that there needs to be an easy way for American Jews to save for educational experiences in Israel and create a gold standard for the entire Jewish community.

By creating a single platform to cater to all the different programs out there, parents and grandparents can contribute to their kids' and grandkids' spiritual and educational journey discovering their Jewish identity.

That's what Israel Prepaid is, and that's what we do.

OPPORTUNITY

Educational experiences in Israel are transformative but remain inaccessible to some people.

There are many experiences dedicated to Jewish American youth such as: Aardvark, MASA, Yeshiva & Midrasha, YIVO, HSI, Birthright and many more. Currently these programs lead over 70,000 Jewish youth annually, most from the United States. The cost of these programs varies between $9,000 - $50,000 and sometimes more. Although some programs are partially subsidized, the subsidies are not enough to cover the bulk of these expensive tuition fees. Over 50% of American Jews have not visited Israel, mostly due to financial concerns, creating larger gaps and segregation within the community and pushing away young children from further discovering their roots and culture.

Globalization has raised competition and more students seek to have an edge. Local schools aren't as appealing as they used to be. Israel has always been a top tier academic nation offering many international programs throughout their institutions, private or public. (University of Tel Aviv - is ranked 103 worldwide - a very respectable mark).

Today over 3,000 non Israeli students attend Israel's finest institutions and another 2,000 attend Yeshivas and Midrasha.

In the attempt to validate our market, we looked at another program that exists in several countries around the U.S. (529 - prepaid\savings plan.)

In the state of Florida it is well known as "Florida Prepaid"..

"Florida Prepaid" - is one such plan designated specifically for the residents of Florida. It has a successful operating history of over 35 years. To date they are handling over 19.7B$ under management and are enrolling over 50,000 new beneficiaries annually with over 1.2 million beneficiaries between the ages of 0-18 in total. In 2019 their investment income was almost 2B$ and has been rising annually.

Where does it hurt?

The segregation of the Jewish community and its common identity is slow but gradually becoming more impactful. Many consider recent years to be a turning point for Judaism and the beginning of the "death of the Jewish faith" - Tal Keinan, God Is in the Crowd: Twenty-First-Century Judaism.

  • "As the Jewish people has become concentrated in just two hubs—America and Israel—it has lost the subtle code of governance that endowed Judaism with dynamism and relevance in the age of Diaspora."
  • "Without this code, this ancient people—and the civilization that it spawned—will soon be extinct."

In his book. Tal Keinan mentioned a pillar that will bolster Judaism moving forward. He speaks of a Jewish World Endowment that would invite Jewish families into an educational project that would include summer experiences during high school built around Jewish education and service and free college tuition.

The cost of being Jewish in the U.S. is on the rise. The market for Jewish educational programs is concentrated and the low competition keeps programs inaccessible. Without a safety net for the community less people will be able to afford the economical strain involved in being part of their community. This is especially needed nowadays with rampant inflation and rising costs throughout the market, with most educational experiences costing upwards of $10,000 per program. Continually, educational programs in Israel rise in price between 2.1% and 2.6% per year.

In order to ensure the perpetual survival of Judaism it is imperative for Israel Prepaid to build such a platform that will make it easy for Jewish generations to come to explore their Jewish identity and roots.

MARKET ANALYSIS

Israel Prepaid has short and long term goals to help the Jewish community thrive. In total over 7.5 million Jews, live in the United States, according to the 2020 Pew Research Center. Approximately 75% of them identify as Jews by religion and have a connection to Israel, its culture, faith, and legacy. The remaining 25% are considered to be "jews of no religion", and they do consider themselves Jewish in some way aside from religion, such as ethnically, culturally or because of their family background. An additional 2.8 million adults have a Jewish background. These adults all had at least one Jewish parent or a Jewish upbringing, but most people in this category, 1.9 million, identify with another religion, such as Christianity. About 700,000 have no religion and do not consider themselves Jewish in any way. There are also 200,000 who identify as Jewish by religion but also identify with another religion. A further 1.4 million adults have a Jewish affinity. Though they lack a Jewish parent or upbringing and do not identify as Jewish by religion, these adults consider themselves Jewish in some other way and about 33% of them have visited or contributed to Israel at least once. There are an estimated 2.4 million children living in the United States in households with at least one Jewish adult. This includes 1.8 million who are being raised Jewish in some way, such as 1.2 million who are being raised exclusively Jewish by religion, and an additional 400,000 who are being raised as Jewish but not by religion. It also includes roughly 200,000 who are being raised both as Jewish by religion and in another religion. About 600,000 U.S. children live with a Jewish adult but are not being raised Jewish in any way.

As we zoom in, we look to focus on the Jewish community in Florida as our proof of concept and make Jewish educational programs more accessible to the Jewish market. This market was chosen due to its large and financially able Jewish community as well as the success of its local prepaid plan "Florida Prepaid" as mentioned earlier. Currently living in Florida are a minimum of 690,000, and over 90,000 of them are young Jewish kids under the age of 8. After our initial launch in Florida, we will expand to New York, which is the most Jewish populated state with over 1.5 million Jews. In New York there are currently over 220,000 children under 8. After penetrating both Florida and the New York market we plan to expand further all over the U.S. as well as other major Jewish populations worldwide such as France, Argentina, Canada and many more.

As a platform for future Jewish experiences, our main markets are the parents and grandparents of young kids. Because the platform allows for multiple plans for each beneficiary, more than one member of the family can open a prepaid plan for the same child. This flexibility means that our potential market far exceeds the number of Jewish kids in the U.S. or the total number of kids in the U.S. as a whole. We estimate that each beneficiary will have on average 1.4 plans.. In conclusion, our market size is roughly half the size of "Florida prepaid" approximately 11 million potential participants in the U.S. alone. We expect to be able to enroll at least 50,000 new beneficiary plans each year after 15 years. This is due to our broader product which allows for participation of Jewish experiences as well as academic studies. Our product has an emotional connection making it more appealing.

Drill down

Market Analysis Summary - Drill Down - Florida

The market for Israel Prepaid is concentrated initially in three key Florida counties: Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. These counties represent the highest concentrations of Jewish households in the Southeastern United States, with a combined Jewish population exceeding 500,000 and a high percentage of Jewish day school and Jewish community engagement. These areas are experiencing steady population growth, particularly among young Jewish families.

As of 2025, Israel Prepaid enters the market as a unique solution offering future pricing guarantees for Israel-based programs such as gap years, Jewish identity travel, study abroad, and university degrees. The market is significantly underserved in this space, with most families relying on 529 college savings plans or direct out-of-pocket payments.

We estimate over 150,000 Jewish households with children under 18 in Florida, with at least 20% actively engaged in long-term Jewish identity education and travel programming. Israel Prepaid's total addressable market (TAM) in Florida alone is projected at over 30,000 households, with an initial serviceable obtainable market (SOM) of 2,500 families within the first 36 months.

4.1 Market Segmentation

Israel Prepaid targets the following segments:

Early adopters are likely to be dual-income households that care deeply about Jewish continuity, affordability, and maximizing future opportunities in Israel.

Market Analysis Expansion - From Florida to International Markets

Israel Prepaid's national and international growth potential is built upon the strong foundation of Jewish identity and cultural programs. Our strategy expands beyond our initial focus in select Florida counties to encompass:

  • The entire state of Florida
  • The Jewish communities in New York
  • The Jewish communities in California
  • International Jewish communities (Canada, UK, Australia, South Africa, Latin America, France, etc.)

These target markets were chosen based on Jewish population density, interest in Israel travel/identity programs, and household income levels that enable participation in prepaid plans.

Israel Prepaid – Business Model Summary

Israel Prepaid's business model is built on three key revenue streams:

One-Time Opening Fee

Each customer pays a $250 account opening fee, whether they choose a monthly payment plan or a lump sum plan. This upfront fee contributes to covering operational costs and acquiring new customers.

Investment Returns on Fund Capital

The money contributed by customers is held in a dedicated fund and strategically reinvested. The goal is to generate returns that exceed the future program costs, thereby covering obligations and producing a margin.

Discounted Program Costs

Israel Prepaid secures preexisting and ongoing agreements with Israel-based programs (e.g., Masa, gap year, study abroad), allowing it to enroll beneficiaries at discounted rates. This creates additional value and profitability through the spread between retail and negotiated prices.
